A Hairy Woodpecker just hit my window &?

he fell to the snow, he started to move his head, then it dropped to the snow for a min. he tryed to lift it again, only to have an icicle form on it. It's -25� C here, so I went out & scouped him up & placed him in a cardboard box & brought him in the house, He dosn't apear to have any broken wings & I'm hoping he'll start moving around, then let him go outside again. What else can I do?
