Is the ability to throw mid to upper 90's heat a God given talent?
to throw that hard 90% god given talent. all the working out in the world might only add a few extra miles per hour. I tried to pitch after highschool and did nothing but lift weights and throw long toss every other day for 2 years. I went from 65mph max at 18years old to 73max at 20. no ones going from 75 to 95 by hard work and dedication trust me. It's just like any other thing you do athletically. you're born with it in your genes. just like running fast, being able to bench press 500 lbs, jumping high, excelling in sports, etc. when i say 75 i am talking highschool age. 75 is usually about the fastest you hear the average man throwing in to one of those nets outside the stadium for 5 dollars. it's about ing power in your arm. when your arm is cokced back how far does it go back? if its almost parallel to the ground like a billy wagner in his prime then your throwing real hard. if you cant extend and get that ing angle you wont' be able to throw as hard
