Does Acne Ever Go Away By Itself?

i have had acne since i was 12 (June 2007) i had chickenpox at that time. the month after i started to get acne. I thought it was getting better but it is spreading down to my chest and back. Will it ever go. before June 2007 my face was perfectly clear and my hair wasn't greasy. Now i look like a maniac. When will it go? What are your expreinces?
