Did I mess up big time? (GIRLS ANSWER PLEASE)?

Theres this girl I like a lot. She sometimes sits next to me on the bus. When I was in the hall way I didn't even see her, but she shouts my name twice. I was in a rush... and when I looked back I BARELY waved back. That instant I wanted to hit myself in the face but I kept on walking.... Before new years I gave her a candy cane and told her name and said ILL CYA NEXT YEAR. (this was a test to even know if she even knew my name) she just smiled and said ill cya too. Now out of no where she talks to me and said my name... She was walking with friends beside her when she said my name. I think i really messed up by not waving and sayng HEY! or HOW U DOIN. Do i have a shot with this girl? Am I a jerk? Hopefully she doesn't look on this like I dont like her. Is she interested?
